On June 26, ECONO-PAK once again participated in the Engineering and Technology Forum organized by the Association of German Engineers (VDI) in Mannheim. The event’s goal was to spark children’s and young people’s interest in technology and technical careers from an early age.

Despite exceptionally high summer temperatures, the event at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) Mannheim attracted a large number of visitors. Many children between the ages of four and twelve took the opportunity to experience technology firsthand and actively engage in exciting hands-on activities.

One of the most popular attractions at the ECONO-PAK booth was the interactive workshop, where children could build their own propeller-driven electric cars. This activity introduced basic engineering concepts in a fun and engaging way. The button-making machine was equally popular and inspired plenty of creativity among the young participants.

In addition to the activities for children, ECONO-PAK presented its company and product portfolio to attending VDI members through its latest trade show video. Our booth was staffed by our apprentices together with Rainer Bersch, who coordinates ECONO-PAK’s relationship with VDI. Their dedication and enthusiasm played a key role in making engineering and technology accessible and tangible for visitors of all ages.

As a long-standing supporting member of the VDI Rheingau District Association, ECONO-PAK regularly participates in events that promote young talent and technical education. We are therefore already looking forward to the next joint event: the traditional Experiment Day of the VDI Rheingau on August 28, 2026, in Flörsheim. Once again, ECONO-PAK will be present with an interactive hands-on activity. We would be delighted to welcome you at our booth.
